Find the right way to visit
Wecome to Monument Valley! Three Sisters Navajo Guided Tours is 100% Navajo owned and operated, offering an experience deeply rooted in the traditions, stories, and history of Monument Valley. As a truly local company, it provides visitors with an authentic perspective on the land. Tours are conducted in the Main Valley and the lesser-known Mystery Valley, always in small groups to ensure a relaxed, unhurried, and intimate experience. The company is also pet-friendly, welcoming travelers to bring their furry companions along. Every tour is designed to leave guests with meaningful memories of this sacred Navajo landscape.
The company’s heritage reaches back generations. Its founders grew up in Monument Valley, often accompanying family members who led tours long before tourism became widespread. From a young age, they listened to stories about ancestors, old western film history, and the cultural significance embedded in each sandstone formation—particularly the Three Sisters. In Navajo tradition, this iconic formation of three vertical spires is seen as resembling three protective figures, often compared to three nuns watching over the valley. The Three Sisters symbolize strength, unity, and the enduring resilience of the Navajo people.
This deep cultural connection continues to shape every Three Sisters Navajo Guided Tour. Visitors are invited not just to view Monument Valley’s scenery but to understand the history and spirit that have defined the land for centuries.

Benny was a great guide. Rain poured as we started our tour, so he brought us back and gave us time to change to dry clothes. We then headed out for a beautiful tour where we learned the names of the various stunning formations, and Benny helped us see the shapes people have imagined in the formations. We were able to see the special features referred to as The Arches. Our guide took advantage of the wonderful acoustics these overhangs provide to sing a special Navajo song for us. The Arches are only accessible with a guide. We were thrilled to see the petroglyphs left by the ancient Anastasi, small rams clearly drawn on the wall of the final arch we saw. Benny also pointed out spots where movies and television series have filmed. Our group of eight had a great experience as we traveled close to these majestic natural features.

Just a wonderful place to visit I think it’s important to use a Navajo guide. The road is very rough. Better to use the Navajo guide and vehicle. We found a guide to be wonderful addition to the trip we had beautiful weather. It is just a marvelous place to see the guided tour is 2 1/2 hours. Please take your time and enjoy the beautiful place. the road is very rough and unpaved. Don’t use your own car bye.

Excellent tour guide. We were disappointed however that we did not have an open air, covered vehicle.
